Structural Design

Working off the Architects drawing (or what is available) we derive the loads on the structure and then design an appropriate member. For larger jobs we would produce drawings using Autocad but for smaller jobs calculations would be appropriate. We would welcome the chance to discuss challenging (awkward) structures with the design team early in the project.

Foundation Design

Sometimes ground conditions present challenges to obtaining a safe building, we have vast experience in these types of problems. Some solutions we have designed in the past have been rafts or piles with reinforced concrete ground beams. We have designed various types of basement walls and designs using ground anchors.

Structural Reports

We have carried out reports for mortgage and re-mortgage purposes. We have assisted home owners who have had the misfortune to occupy a house with settlement/flooding damage. Barn and outbuilding conversions need a structural report to satisfy planners that the building can be converted without too much re-building.
